Engine heater pre-heats the engine. The advantages for pre-heating in a cold climate are lower fuel consumption, less stress for the engine and easier cold start. Pre-heating is recommended when the temperature drops below 5 degrees Celsius.

In addition to the engine heater, it is possible to install an indoor heater which adds comfort and safety.

Some of the modern engine heaters have in-built battery charger, heating timer and guide system.
