AutoSky auto repair shop was established in 2005 in Kallio, Helsinki, right in the city center, at Kolmas Linja 7, where service and repair services operated in approximately 370 m2 premises.
Operations continued as such until March 2012 before the change of ownership.
With the new owner, the same services continued with a small team.
As Auto Sky’s operations expanded, the Kallio premises began to feel cramped. We had to start looking for a new location, of course in Helsinki, where the company had originated. After a long search in 2016, we found large premises that perfectly suited our needs. Auto Sky purchased its own 1,200 m2 property in June 2016 in Helsinki’s Old Town, at Viikintie 21. The property has eight halls under the same roof, and now we call our operation a full-service auto house.
Our operations include auto repair, collision repair, paint shop, towing service, vehicle inspection, and car wash.
In 2017, AutoSky received authorization for Suzuki brand service in cooperation with Bassadone.
In 2021, AutoSky joined the Bosch Car Service chain of independent repair shops, offering high-quality vehicle maintenance and repair for all car brands and models. We guarantee affordable quality that you can trust.
In 2024, AutoSky proudly expanded its service network by becoming an authorized service center for Opel, Peugeot, and Citroën brands. For vehicles registered after 2018, the first inspection is at four years of age, after which the car is inspected every two years until it’s 10 years old, after which the vehicle must be inspected annually (e.g., 4-2-2-2-1). Therefore, it’s important to regularly perform annual or seasonal maintenance so that any faults and problems that may arise between inspections can be detected early.
When the fault is not minor or cannot be easily repaired, and driving the vehicle is dangerous to people or the environment, it does not pass the inspection. In this case, the car should be taken for re-inspection as soon as possible after the required repair.
Emissions tests must be performed during regular inspections. If an emissions test has been done in advance, e.g., at an auto repair shop, you should bring the certificate you received when you bring your car for inspection. The emissions test certificate is valid for 3 months.
An electric car does not require an emissions test. During inspection, emissions tests are only performed on cars equipped with traditional combustion engines. If the car is a hybrid with a combustion engine or a so-called Range Extender engine, an emissions test is required.
Electric and hybrid cars naturally require less maintenance, but electrical systems, including batteries, electric motors, brakes, fluids, air conditioning, and small electronics, need to be checked regularly. This is done to ensure the safety and operation of the car. Therefore, our mechanics are highly trained in servicing and repairing electric and hybrid vehicles as well.
